How to Check Guests In at the Door With Just a Phone
No scanner machines, no paper lists, no queue. Your ushers scan QR tickets with their own phones and see green, orange or red in under a second.
Short answer: share a door link and door PIN with your ushers. They open it on their own phones, scan each guest's QR ticket, and the screen fills with green (welcome), orange (already checked in) or red (not valid), along with the guest's name and ticket type.
Setting up your door team
- Open your event page and copy the door link and door PIN.
- Send them to your ushers on WhatsApp. They do not need an account.
- Each usher enters the PIN and a door name, for example Gate 1 or VIP entrance.
- Guests without data can read out the ticket code from their SMS, and the usher types it in.
When the network is bad
The scanner downloads the guest list before the event and keeps checking guests from it when the network drops. Check-ins upload as soon as the signal returns.
Live numbers for the host
While the doors are open, the host sees how many guests have arrived, and after the event a report shows who came and who did not.
