Why mySmartAccessCard Never Touches Your Church's Event Money
Registrants pay directly into the church's own bank account — mySmartAccessCard only tracks and verifies, it never holds the funds. Here is exactly how that works and why it matters.
A reasonable question from any finance committee evaluating event-registration software is: where does the money actually go? For mySmartAccessCard, the answer is simple — it never touches it.
How payment actually flows
- 1
The church sets its own bank account details when creating an event (with a default WhatsApp number for payment proof, overridable per event).
- 2
A registrant pays directly into that account — the same way they always would, by bank transfer.
- 3
They submit their payment reference and screenshot as proof, sent to the church's WhatsApp.
- 4
A church admin reviews the proof against the church's own bank statement and approves or rejects the registration inside the dashboard.
What this means for the church
At no point does mySmartAccessCard hold, process, or move the church's money. There's no payout schedule to wait on, no platform cut taken off registration fees, and no third party sitting between a giver and the church's account. The platform's job is tracking and verification — who registered, who paid, who's still owed a follow-up — not custody of funds.
This is the same model used for both paid event registration and separate donor support tracking — money always moves directly, verification happens on top of it.
