Inventory Management and Barcode Generation for Retail
Part of Professional Business: add products with full stock details, get an auto-generated Code128 barcode for each one, and set low-stock thresholds so nothing runs out unnoticed.
Retail businesses that outgrow a notebook usually jump straight to a full accounting package — heavier than what a shop actually needs just to know what's in stock and what's running low. mySmartAccessCard's Professional Business tier sits in the middle: a real inventory system built for a shop, not an enterprise.
What's included
Full Product Details
Add, edit, and delete products with name, price, quantity, shelf location, and category — everything a shop actually needs to find and track stock.
Auto-Generated Code128 Barcodes
Every product gets a unique barcode the moment it's added, downloadable as a PNG or printable directly to label physical stock.
Automatic Stock Updates
Quantities update automatically after every sale made through the barcode scanner — no manual recount needed to keep numbers accurate.
Low-Stock Thresholds
Set a minimum quantity per product. When stock falls to or below it, the product is flagged in the Alerts tab before you run out completely.
Why generated barcodes matter
A lot of Nigerian retailers sell products that never came with a barcode from the manufacturer — loose items, repackaged goods, locally made products. mySmartAccessCard generates one for you on the spot, so every item in your shop becomes scannable at the point of sale, whether or not it shipped with one.
That barcode then feeds directly into the sales scanner, which is what actually deducts stock and logs a sale — inventory and sales aren't two separate systems you have to keep in sync yourself.
Getting started
Professional Business is an add-on for General Business accounts, activated from the Subscription tab. Once active, an Inventory tab appears where you can add your first product and print its barcode label immediately. Read more about the full retail toolkit on the Businesses page.
