GPS Geofenced Staff Attendance for Nigerian Businesses
Stop staff from clocking in while they're still at home. mySmartAccessCard can capture and verify GPS location the moment someone scans in, configurable per business.
A QR or NFC scan proves who checked in. It doesn't, on its own, prove where they were standing when they did it. For a lot of Nigerian businesses — retail chains, field teams, security outfits, logistics companies — that gap matters. A staff member can technically "check in" from their bedroom if the app doesn't verify location.
mySmartAccessCard closes that gap with optional GPS geofenced attendance.
How it works
Any business on the platform can enable location capture on their attendance settings. Once turned on, every check-in scan also records the device's GPS coordinates at that exact moment — not continuous tracking, not a location history running in the background, just a single location stamp attached to that one attendance record.
Per-Business Configuration
Geofencing is opt-in and configured per business. A retail chain with fixed store locations can require it; a business that doesn't need it can leave it off entirely.
Captured at the Moment of Scan
Location is read from the device at the instant a QR or NFC check-in happens, then attached to that attendance record permanently — not tracked continuously afterward.
Visible on the Attendance Record
Admins reviewing attendance can see exactly where a check-in happened, alongside the time and the staff member's name.
Works Across Every Vertical
Geofencing isn't a gym-only or school-only feature — it's available to any business type on mySmartAccessCard, from a single shop to a multi-branch chain.
Why this matters for Nigerian employers
Remote clock-in fraud is a quiet but real cost — staff marked present who never actually reached the site, hours paid for time not worked, and no easy way to prove it after the fact. A location stamp on every check-in turns "he said he was there" into a verifiable record, without needing a separate GPS tracking app or extra hardware.
It's the same phone your staff already use to scan their mySmartAccessCard digital ID — geofencing is just a setting you switch on, not a new system to roll out.
