Bulk SMS Alert Payment Tracking for Parents, Including Lapsed Renewals
SMS alerts to parents are not automatically free forever — schools choose exactly which students' parents to activate, and mySmartAccessCard makes sure nobody silently falls off the list when a renewal lapses.
Parent SMS alerts cost money to send, so a school needs to decide which students are covered — and most systems make that an all-or-nothing switch. mySmartAccessCard does the opposite: it is a per-student selection, so a school activates exactly the students it wants covered, and nobody else.
Select students individually — or all at once
A school admin can activate SMS alerts one student at a time, or use "Select All SMS Due" to catch every student who currently needs a payment — including students whose SMS coverage has already lapsed or expired. Renewals are not a separate, easy-to-forget process; the same bulk-select view surfaces anyone who has quietly stopped receiving alerts because their term ran out.
Per-Student Control
Activate SMS for exactly the students a school wants covered — never an all-or-nothing bulk charge.
Lapsed Renewals Never Go Unnoticed
"Select All SMS Due" surfaces every student whose coverage has expired, alongside those who never had it activated.
Why this matters
The worst version of an SMS alert system is one where a parent believes they are still covered and simply stops hearing anything — no error, no warning, just silence after an expiry date passes unnoticed. Surfacing lapsed renewals in the same place as new activations means a school's SMS coverage stays accurate over an entire school year, not just in the first term when it was set up.
