School Fee Reminders by SMS Without Chasing Parents One by One
Bursars spend the first weeks of every term calling and texting parents about fees. Fee reminder broadcasts send one clear message to every parent at once, by SMS and in the parent app.
Fee reminders are awkward to send and easy to ignore when they arrive one by one from a staff member's personal phone. A broadcast from the school, sent to every parent at the same moment, is clearer, fairer and takes seconds.
How to send a fee reminder
- 1A school admin opens Send Message on the school dashboard and chooses Fee Reminder.
- 2They write the reminder, up to 160 characters. For example: "Reminder: second term fees are due by Friday 10 October. Thank you."
- 3It goes by SMS to every parent on file and appears in the parent app's Messages tab.
Limits that keep parents listening
Each school can send up to five fee reminders per term, separate from its five SOS alerts. Both counts reset when the term changes. Parents who get a handful of clear reminders read them. Parents who get a message every day stop reading.
What it does not do
Fee reminders are messages. Parents pay the school the same way they always have. For tracking who has paid what, see bulk SMS and payment tracking.
