Safe Child Pickup: Know Exactly Who Collected Your Child From School
At closing time a school has to answer one question many times over: is this person allowed to take this child home? mySmartAccessCard answers it with a parent card tap or a one-time pickup code, and tells the parent the moment their child is collected.
Most schools still rely on a teacher recognising a face at the gate. That works until a new driver, an aunty or a neighbour turns up, or until a busy afternoon means nobody is sure who left with whom. Pickup verification gives the school a clear yes or no, and gives the parent a record.
Two ways to collect a child

How a pickup code works
- 1In the parent app, open Pickup and create a code. It looks like PK7M3Q.
- 2Send the code to the person collecting your child.
- 3At the school, staff enter the code. If it is valid, they see the parent's name and the children it covers.
- 4The code works once and expires after 24 hours. A parent can have up to three active codes at a time.
The parent knows straight away
Every pickup is logged with the time. The parent gets an alert in the app and an SMS for each child collected, so a parent at work knows their child has left school safely, and with whom.
Only linked parents can collect
A card or code only works for children linked to that parent at that school, using the same secure guardian linking the school already uses for attendance alerts.
