End-of-Year Class Promotion in One Step
At the end of the school year every student needs to move up a class, the final class needs to graduate, and a few students need to repeat. mySmartAccessCard does all three in one step, after showing a preview.
Moving hundreds of students up a class by hand is slow and error-prone. Someone always ends up in the wrong class, and graduates linger on the roll. Class promotion handles the whole school at once.
How promotion works
- 1The school's classes are set up in order, for example JSS1, JSS2, JSS3, SS1, SS2, SS3.
- 2At the end of the final term, the admin opens promotion and sees a preview of where every student will go.
- 3They tick any students who should repeat their class.
- 4On confirm, every other student moves to the next class, students in the top class are marked as graduated, and repeaters stay where they are.
Mid-year terms are untouched
Moving from first term to second term, or second to third, only advances the term. Promotion only happens at the end of the final term, so nobody is moved up by mistake halfway through the year.
A fresh start each term
When the term changes, the school's SOS and fee reminder counts reset too, ready for the new term.
Questions people ask
How do I promote all students to the next class at the end of the year?
In mySmartAccessCard, open class promotion at the end of the final term, review the preview, mark any repeaters, and confirm. Everyone else moves up one class and the top class graduates.
Can some students repeat a class?
Yes. Tick them in the promotion preview and they stay in their current class.
